Meter Base & Electrical Service.

The electrical service entrance is the connection point between the utility and your home. It includes the meter base, the weatherhead or underground lateral, the service mast or riser, the service entrance conductors, and the main disconnect. When any one of those components fails or falls out of code, you end up with low voltage problems, tripping mains, scorched meter sockets, and exposed conductors that present a real shock and fire risk.

Trent Electrical installs new residential electrical services that meet Holston Electric Cooperative specifications on the first inspection. That means properly bonded meter cans, sealed weatherheads, conduit anchored to survive the next ice storm, ground rods driven to the required depth, and grounding electrode conductors sized for the service rating. We install overhead drops, underground service laterals, mobile home pedestals, pole barn services, detached shop services, and new construction temporary power poles.

Storm damage and emergency service work gets priority on our schedule. If a tree or wind event ripped the meter off your siding or pulled the service mast loose, call us first. We coordinate the utility disconnect, replace the damaged equipment, and get the power company back out the same day in most cases. We carry common meter bases, masts, weatherheads, and connectors on the truck so you are not waiting on parts.
